Exotic Art that’s sensual, provocative and audacious, featuring over 60 artist’s uninhibited passions in a variety of media, pushing the envelope with jaw-dropping fantasies and taboo erotica. Exotic, by definition, “beyond the ordinary.” This is the longest running exhibit of erotic and exotic art in the country. Mature subject matter. Monsters Menagerie – October through Halloween Oct 31
Monsters Menagerie exhibit gives Valley art lovers and hipsters a thrilling range of monstrous artworks in a variety of media; from raw-edged political sarcasm, extraordinary and supernatural spirits, to surreal and fantasy art. In the spirit of the holiday, Alwun’s annual Halloween art show exorcizes evil influences around us: Some in a humorous and witty way, others not so funny; like juxtaposing world hunger with “it’s hot” Paris Hilton. Lighthouse – November
The Gallery lights are turned off for this exhibit, with rooms full of self-illuminating art: light boxes, shadow boxes, shrines, sculpture, black light, neon, video, fire, lamps and even furniture. Exhibit Curator, Landy Headley, a popular art lighting designer. Solo or Group Exhibit Proposals
Artists interested in presenting their own exhibit may write up an exhibit proposal not more than one page and email it with several representative images of the art you propose to exhibit. Selected artists must have capacity to cover $350 PR fee for production of publicity invitation, mailing & printing. Artists are encouraged to consider Group exhibits as the crossover audience will help generate a greater audience for your art. For example: artists with 2D/wall hanging art may wish to consider teaming up with a sculptor to help fill gallery space other than the walls. Proposals expressing familiarity with Alwun House’s facility and approach to exhibiting will have greater chances of acceptance.

Pond Works
Alwun House is seeking sculptors to create splashing water or kinetic sculpture for two of our larger ponds. There is currently no budget to cover such sculpture. However, if proposal displays experience and is good, some matching funds could be applied for.
